Dr. Kenneth Hauser was born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago. After graduating from New Trier High School,
Dr. Hauser pursued his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in General Sciences, with a minor in secondary education mathematics,
from the University of Denver. Four years later, the University of Minnesota awarded him two degrees: a Bachelor of Science (BS)
degree in Health Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Dr. Hauser further enhanced his knowledge of the various fields in dentistry at Emory University in Atlanta, where he received a
Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Upon returning to Chicago, he went into private practice for a year.
Northwestern University offered him a two year fellowship in Hospital Dentistry. It was there he gained valuable clinical experience
in general and hospital dentistry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago under the leadership of Dr. Peter Hurst.
After his training at Northwestern, Dr. Hauser began specializing in orthodontics at Columbia University School of Dental and
Oral Surgery in New York City, a move that proved invaluable. In 1994, the faculty conferred on him a Master of Arts Degree in
Dental Science and a Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics. His master's thesis was original research titled "A pilot study of synovial fluid composition from the inflamed human temporomandibular joint."
Dr. Hauser is committed to providing the best quality orthodontics to his patients. He regularly attends continuing education seminars and conferences to stay current of the latest in orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign, the Damon System and temporary anchorage devices.
Dr. Hauser is active in numerous professional organizations: American Dental Association (ADA); Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) and; Chicago Dental Society- Northwestside Branch [Edgebrook Orthodontics] (CDS). He is privileged to have served the CDS in various capacities: as Correspondent for their monthly publication, The CDS Review; as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice-President; as delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society's annual meeting; as Treasurer. In 2011, Dr. Hauser was inducted as President of the CDS-Northwest Branch.
Dr. Hauser is fortunate to use his talents and skills to serve the under privileged across the nation. In New York City, he worked with
HOPE for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the poor. He also worked at Harlem Hospital to bring dental care to those
in the community with limited resources. In Illinois, he was privileged to use his expertise with Connections for the Homeless in Evanston,
and also with the ISDS "Mission of Mercy" in Bloomington. It is there, with hundreds of other health care providers, he provided dental care
to the residents of Bloomington, Illinois.
While in New York City, Dr. Hauser met and married his wife, Jasmine, a network and cable television documentary producer.
They returned to Chicago to raise a family and open an orthodontic practice for children and adults. He is fortunate to have found the
family-oriented and charming neighborhood of Edgebrook in Chicago to build his practice. When not busy creating beautiful smiles,
Dr. Hauser's passions include staying active in his church, volunteering with HOPE for Kids, leading Bible discussion groups, spending
time with his wife, daughters and extended family, exercising, camping, and playing soccer and foosball.
